The Big 3

The Companies and Intellectual Property commission has a new website but people trying to register companies and intellectual property have been unable to do so as the website is plagued with issues. John Robbie spoke to commissioner Astrid Ludin and she explained how the website will be fixed in a week. The commission has no call center and many users complaining that they actually have no where to go with their complaints.

EFF commander in chief Julius Malema is back in court this morning in Limpopo. The High Court in Polokwane has been cordoned off and roads leading to the building closed off as supporters of Economic Freedom Fighters leader prepare to gather there for his appearance on corruption charges. Malema and two other accused also face charges of fraud and racketeering related to a tender awarded to on point engineering.

Parliament’s Nkandla Committee will resume today without opposition Members of Parliament (MPs). As EWN's Rahima Essop reports that the opposition walked out on Friday after MP’s wrangled over whether President Jacob Zuma could be called to account and whether the Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's remedial action was just a recommendation. The committee, which largely made up of African National Congress (ANC) MPs, has been set up to look into reports on the R246 million upgrades to Zuma’s private Nkandla residence in KwaZulu-Natal.
