DJ Sbu says that Malinga worked with the likes of Doc Shebeleza, Kabelo and HHP. He adds that Malinga discovered artists like Zahara.

Robbie Malinga’s contribution is through artists like Zahara, Musa and Kelly Khumalo says DJ Sbu. Malinga was a father and everything he did, he did for his family says DJ Sbu. DJ Sbu adds that Malinga was a fully-fledged musician which is something that we no longer have.

Robbie was an authentic musician who could write music. He was a vocalist, he was a music director, he could hold his own on stage as well. He could play keyboard, he could play piano.
