The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) has argued that the ANC's plans to fully decriminalise sex work will lead to increased abuse, human trafficking and drug trafficking.
ACDP leader Kenneth Meshoe says that sex work is inextricably linked to the illegal drug trade.
Decriminalisation will see the removal of criminal penalties for sex workers as well as those making use of their services.
Meshoe has slammed the governing party for failing to provide adequate jobs as an alternative to sex work.
