She explains that there is no shame in taking a break from alcohol and its harmful effects.

Gourand coaches and facilitates recovery and wellness classes and has encouraged people to participate in the Dry January challenge and quit alcohol for the month.
She advises that alcohol has an impact on sleep and causes prolonged fatigue, among other side effects.
