Matric exams are out the way and while most pupils are celebrating, others may have not performed very well.
CEO of Skills Academy Jan Badenhorst spoke to Relebogile Mabotja to give some guidance on what pupils can do next.
Badenhorst says while you can either go back to school and repeat the year, it is possible to ask for a remark before the 19th of January or write a supplementary exam.
You can apply for that before 19 January, it will cost you R 92 per paper. A remark means they mark it all over again.— Jan Badenhorst, CEO of Skills Academy
If you failed one or two subjects you can go for a supplementary exam, if you had medical reasons for missing the exam last year. If you passed but your marks are not good enough to get into higher education, you can go for a supplementary exam.— Jan Badenhorst, CEO of Skills Academy
If anything to improve your situation if it takes a week, six months, a year, you are not going to look back and regret having out in the extra effort because it impacts the rest of your life.— Jan Badenhorst, CEO of Skills Academy
