Thuli Madonsela on State Capture Inquiry: It's better late than never

Thuli Madonsela, Mmusi Maimane, and others react to Zuma's State Capture Inquiry, announced late on Tuesday evening.

I'm encouraged by the President's decision to comply fully with the decision in the report - which of course includes that the Chief Justice should select the judge.

Thuli Madonsela, Former Public Protector

She also commends him for his decision that the Commission should be fully resourced.

That's extremely important to make sure the Commission leaves no stone unturned, and secondly that it concludes its business expeditiously.

Thuli Madonsela, Former Public Protector

It's just coming a little bit late, but better late than never.
