DA's Cape metro regional chairman Grant Twigg says De Lille has lost the confidence of the Metro executive.

Twigg says that De Lille is going against the party's caucus by challenging the findings of the independent report by law firm Bowman Gilfillan, implicating the mayor in a corruption cover-up.
A recommendation has now been forwarded to the provincial leadership and the DA’s federal executive that she be removed, reports EWN's Lindsay Dentlinger.
Meanwhile, De Lille says that she will use all the means at her disposal to defend her position.
