American investor buys iconic South African restaurant chain Mike’s Kitchen

US private equity firm NRD Capital has bought the iconic, 45-year-old restaurant chain Mike’s Kitchen.

It’s NRD Capital’s first African investment.

NRD plans to, over the next five years, buy multiple South African brands.
