Alleged underworld boss Nafiz Modack applies for bail

Nafiz Modack has applied for bail following accusations that he and his associates have extorted several Cape Town Businesses and have attempted to take over the Cape Town night club scene.

EWN reporter, Monique Mortlock, says that this mornings deliberations in court were short as investigating officer Charl Kinnear is sick, and cannot appear in court. Kinnear has been testifying in court.

The charges that Modack and the other 4 accused face, are charges related to extortion. But what we've heard coming out in court from Kinnear goes further than that.
