Talk show host Bongani Bingwa says opposition parties may need more than loud noise and screaming to draw supporters over the next 18 months.
Bingwa reflected on the Economic Freedom Fighter's protests against clothing retail store H&M at the weekend where party members demonstrated against a marketing campaign featuring a black boy modelling a hoodie with the slogan “coolest monkey in the jungle”
Bingwa says while African National Congress (ANC) president Cyril Ramaphosa continues his charm offensive, the uncomfortable truth is that a majority of South Africans want an ANC that is doing well.
Opposition parties are going to soon realise just how handsomely the governing party's struggle dividend continues to pay.

With the prospect of Jacob Zuma's exit from the Union Buildings looking increasingly likely, the gift that kept on giving may become a distant memory and they will now need something else to attract the voters, the support they so desperately need in the next 18 months.
