‘Nobody wants to see test cricket wrap up in 3 days’ - EWN’s Marc Lewis

Described as a beautiful tussle between bat and ball, the test cricket between the Proteas and India is underway at Supersport Park in Centurion with Virat Kohli helping India cut the deficit down between the two sides to less than 30 runs.

Lewis says that the Proteas struck early on Day 3, which saw them have the upper hand in the first session. He adds that if South Africa can bat for the rest of today and perhaps half of tomorrow, they’ll still have plenty of time to bowl India out again.

Lewis says that it’s all good and well to see South Africa play the way they did in Cape Town, but adds that to be fair, losing an entire days’ worth of play because of rain and still not needing a fifth day, is not the way Test cricket is meant to be played.
