Bongani Bingwa: Maybe we need to consider how little racism offends many of us

702's Breakfast Show host Bongani Bingwa says perhaps before we are outraged at the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supported vandalism we might want to consider how much racism is often dismissed as some sort of minor infraction.

There has been debate around the party's weekend demonstrations after supporters stormed H&M stores over a controversial advert published by the Swedish retailer.

Many believers of non-violent protest were outraged. If we come to accept violence as part of our political culture who shall protest when any of us are at the receiving end of it? Is that not the whole reason we have law and order in the first place?

Perhaps before we humanists, pacifists, soldiers of peace get outraged by the EFF, maybe we need to consider how little racism offends many of us in this society.
