Magashule responds to Gupta Vrede dairy questions at ANC NEC presser

ANC Secretary-general Ace Magashule held a press conference after the ANC NEC meeting. Journalists questioned Magashule's involvement in the controversial Gupta owned Estina Diary project in Vrede, Free State.

EWN Reporter Hitekani Magwedze says that at the press conference, a spokesperson asked that questions stay on the topic of the ANC NEC Lekgotla, but Magashule did address the Estina Diary issue.

The secretary general did respond briefly to those questions, and he said he would like that matter to be left to the NPA. If anyone is guilty they should face the law.

Magwedze says that Magashule did acknowledge that it is no secret that one of his sons has been working for the Gupta family. Magwedze added that while his son has been implicated in allegation of these dodgy dealings, he insisted he is not involved in the Vrede dairy.

Another big matter that was avoided at the press conference was the fate of President Jacob Zuma. Magwedze says Magashule talked about this at length. but did not really say anything.

Magaushala asked that the ANC be given the time and space to deal with its own matters.

In essence, he said that President Jacob Zuma and the newly elected president of the ANC Cyril Ramaphosa are discussing this.
