Take an adventure filled Sho't Left to Parys

It's never to early in the year to take a Sho't Left and discover some of South Africa's hidden gems. Azania's off to an epic weekend away with South African Tourism and because the options are endless, she needs your help to make a decision about where to go.

Everyday this week you could stand a chance to win R2 000 by simply suggesting your favourite local holiday destination. Khotso Sekete from Alexandra recently celebrated his 30th birthday by sky diving in Parys, and reckons this action packed getaway is exactly what Aza needs!

Trust me it is beautiful. As you sky dive you get a scenic view of the Vaal river.

Khotso Sekete

Thanks to Khotso's enticing trip, we've put together a bucket list of things Aza should get up to should she decide to take a Sho't Left to Parys this weekend.

Vaal River Fun at Sunwa Lodge

Parys is known for being an adventure mega destination and the best place for Aza to start her adventure would be river rafting at the incredible Sunwa River Lodge. Situated on the banks of the Vaal river, Sunwa also offers quite a number of other activities such as paintball, game drives, fly fishing and more.

Sundowner tour on a Quad bike

After some fun in the river, time to dry up and see beautiful views of unrefined nature. And what better way to do that than on a quad bike? Soak in all of the beauty that lies withing the Vredefort Dome World Heritage site. Whether you're an early morning riser or prefer to catch the glorious Parys sunset this is a definite must do.

Conquer an adrenaline pumping 4x4 experience

So an hour quad bike ride isn't your idea of a thrilling challenge? We'd suggest an off road experience with Berakah Adventures to get your adrenaline pumping. In this 14km trail of unspoiled beauty you'll pass through open savannah, bushveld, riverbeds, mud, water, hill climbs and scenic mountainous areas.

Enjoy a panoramic view of Vredefort Dome

Head to Real Adventures Basecamp for an incredible abseiling experience. You'll feel a rush of excitement as you descend from a 12 or 44 meter high rock face while enjoying a panoramic view of the Vredefort Dome Heritage site.

Tandem Skydiving

And at number one on our Parys bucket list, is Tandem skydiving. Khotso has challenged Aza to give it a go, and Skydive Parys is unquestionably the most scenic and historic place to experience the exhilarating thrill.
