News reports are questioning whether the Independent Electoral Commission will be able to verify the particulars and addresses of 7.2 million people on the voters roll ahead of the 2019 general election.
The new chief electoral officer Sy Mamabolo talks to Stephen Grootes about numbers verified and still outstanding.

He says when the matter was before the Constitutional Court in 2016, the IEC had 8 million people without addresses.
Mambolo admits the IEC is anxious about completing the task but believes that there is no reason to panic, as long as all South Africans make use of the opportunities available to supply an address record to the Commission.
