The 2018 Triathlon World Cup is happening on the 11th of February and one of the people up for the challenge is Paralympic medalist Gavin Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick says that the Triathlon World Cup has been on their race calendar for a couple of months, and adds that they’ve been training for the event.
My guide Mike and I will be doing the sprint distance which includes a 500-meter swim, a 20 k cycle and a 5km run says Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick says that he has a sight impairment called Stargardt disease - which see’s the deterioration of the nerve centers in his eyes.
If l look directly at something, I can’t actually see it.

Riding a bike on my own is actually impossible says Kilpatrick.
The doctors and my parents picked it up when I was 5 or 6 years’ old.
