Want to help with Cape's water crisis? Add R5 to your Shoprite purchases

The Shoprite Group is dedicating its disaster relief fund to the water crisis in the Western Cape.

CSI Manager at the Shoprite Group, Lunga Schoeman, says previously the fund was able to assist communities in need.

He says customers will be able to add R5 to their purchases at till points at any Shoprite or Checkers store countrywide which will be directed to the fund.

To date the fund has managed to raise over R1.4 million, says Schoeman.

When you do your shopping, just add R5 to your purchase and it will all go to the Disaster Relief Fund.
