Minister of cooperative governance Des van Rooyen says there is enough water in Cape Town for everyone to be that worried about taps running dry.
The City of Cape Town is a the verge of being the first city in the world to be without water. The term Day Zero has been created as citizens count down to the day the city's taps run dry. Western Cape premier Helen Zille has requested for the city to be declared a national disaster.
The current date for Day Zero has been moved forward to 11 May.
If we do all the basics right and if we tap into all other alternative sources into this natural resource there is no way in which Cape Town will go dry.— David van Rooyen, Cooperative Governance minister
Moving to the political issues currently facing the country, while speaking to Stephen Grootes, the minister says that the ANC has its revolutionary process on how it deals with leadership.
