Dischem to donate over 100 000 litres of water to vulnerable organisations in CT

The Dis-Chem Foundation through their #CauseWeCare water campaign will be donating over 100 000 litres of clean bottled water to a number of its beneficiary organisations in Cape Town.

Group marketing director at Dischem, Melanie van Rooy says from Friday, Dischem customers can donate 5-litre bottles of water by adding them to their bill at checkout. The money is then used to purchase water for Cape Town.

She says Dischem wants to help vulnerable organisations so that they can continue with the remarkable work they are doing even in the midst of the drought.

At the end, all of that will collated and we will distribute directly to these organisations.

Melanie van Rooy, Group marketing director at Dischem

Some of these organisations like the Hospice, animal shelters, days care centre cannot stand in queues to collect water and that's where we want to help.
