Parenting expert Nikki Bush is back to talk about goal setting for children

Parenting expert Nikki Bush chats about the importance of goal setting, and placing unrealistic expectations on your children.

Bush says that it’s that time of the year where parents and children settle back into routine. She adds that now is the time to take a step back, and sit down with your kids to work out their goals for the year.

Goal setting for children is an important thing because they foster purpose, passion and progress.

Nikki Bush, parenting expert

Bush says that children need to learn how to measure themselves and adds that it’s important not to get stuck in solely setting academic goals. Bush adds that goals come in a variety of disguises.

We mustn’t limit ourselves to intellectual goals, we need to spread that.
