[GALLERY] Cape Town's downpour after long dry spell

After weeks and weeks of dryness Capetonians finally had their fair share of rainfall on Tuesday night.

Bolts of lightning, loud rolling thunder, and a heavy downpour hit the City.

The highly anticipated rain was more than welcomed by many residents as the province is grappling with a severe drought.

Day Zero has since been pushed back to 4 June from the previous date of 11 May.
