Free to Live Org supports 100 homes & doubles up as a Creche and shelter

Charmaine Changelryan is providing 10 – 12 families per week with feeding packs, and apart from that, there are other various initiatives she’s involved in like soup kitchens.

Changelryan began the Free to Live Organisation which supports 100 homes, and has doubled up as an Aids Home, Creche, and shelter for women and children.

Changelryan says that she’s been a single mother all her life, and when she lost her job, she didn’t know how to make ends meet.

My friend who was involved in a township feeding scheme assist me when times were tough says Changelryan.

I started looking for some donations, and what I could find - I would hand out food parcels to people closest to me who I knew were going through struggle.

You know how it goes, when one knows that you're doing something and then they obviously come looking for you because they’re in a similar position.

Charmaine Changelryan, founder of the Free to Live Organisation

I got a good sponsor sometime last year, that provided us with lots of vegetables. The result was that we were able to feed and give back to the community a lot more.
