A massive reward's being offered for information leading to the arrest of Ajay Gupta and Duduzane Zuma.
Billionaire business woman Magda Wierzycka is putting up R500 000 for information that may lead to the arrest of Gupta, Zuma and their associates.
Speaking to The Kieno Kammies Show, she says someone knows where the men are.
We know that the Gupta brothers are being protected by security companies and bodyguards, those bodyguards have families, have girlfriends. So there are people who are sheltering these people, whether they are in Dubai, whether they are in India or whether they are in South Africa at the moment.— Magda Wierzycka, businesswoman
Wierzycka is adding R500 000 to an existing reward, meaning the total now being offered stands at R900 000.
While the police ministry is distancing itself from the reward, saying the move may compromise its investigation, Wierzycka is undeterred.
Have you ever seen a more bungled operation than the attempted capture of the Gupta brothers? So what we have seen last week, certainly a swoop on the Saxonwold compound, but how come it was executed in such a clumsy manner that all of them escaped the net and only minor fish were caught?— Magda Wierzycka, businesswoman
Minister of Police, Fikile Mbalula has confirmed that officials are searching for suspects in India, China and Dubai.
Last week several suspects were released on bail, while a number of others remain at large.
