'Deputy ministers roles are not well defined'
With a Cabinet reshuffle on the cards, political analyst Dumisani Hlophe says there is a lot of fat that can be trimmed.
Hlophe says a reshuffle can be expected after Wednesday because there are too many things currently happening.
I'm not so sure what is the role of deputies in this establishment. I don't think their roles and responsibilities are well defined.Dumisani Hlophe, Political Analyst at Unisa School of Governance
Hlophe says the issues of a bloated Cabinet can be handled by cancelling some ministries and joining others. He says that every department should have a budget that will cater to the issues of women in the country.
I am not convinced that you need a specific ministry to look into the issue of women.Dumisani Hlophe, Political Analyst at Unisa School of Governance
