From the advertising game to full-time comedian: Loyiso Madinga shares his story

South African comedian Loyiso Madinga has opened up about his journey to becoming a full-time comic.

Madinga made waves in January when he was announced as the Africa correspondent for The Daily Show, which is hosted by SA-born comic Trevor Noah.

He left his career in the advertising industry three years ago to pursue his love for comedy on a full-time basis.

Madinga says the journey to becoming a full-time comic has not been easy, but he always knew that he was born for the stage.

He opened up about his budding career, childhood, creative process, winning big awards, performing along international acts and working on The Daily Show.
