All South Africans have a role to play in boosting the country's economy.
Minister of Economic Development's Ebrahim Patel spoke to The Kieno Kammies show, saying the challenges facing the country need to be tackled by everyone.
You need all South Africans. You need workers and the unemployed, you need young people and old people, government and the private sector to be working together.— Ebrahim Patel, Minister of Economic Development
The minister says the current air of optimism in the country provides the fuel for South Africans to deal with the country's economic challenges.
He also suggested that young South Africans are an untapped resource, and that more opportunities need to be created for them.
