Matthew Vass claims 2018 Dis-Chem Brain of Brains champion title

It's been an exhilarating couple of weeks as Cape Talk and 702 fact fanatics have been battling it out on air, and at various mall activations in the hope of being crowned the ultimate Dis-Chem brain of brains.

However, it was Cape Talk Brain winner Matthew Vass who claimed victory in an action packed grand finale live on air with Breakfast show hosts Bongani Bingwa and Kienno Kammies playing alternative quizmasters.

30 year old Nathan Mallinson is an associate in the finance team of an international law firm. He had avoided a house move over the weekend to participate in the Brain of 702 finals at Menlyn Mall.

Vass started off his Dis-Chem brain battle by impressing on the air and then at Canal Walk which ultimately brought him to this part of the competition. He showed of his superior general knowledge by answering 11 of 13 questions correct in the final round, against Mallinson's 9 correct answers out of 11 questions.

Vass walking away with a further R20 000 for taking the title of Brain of Brains!
