Stephen Grootes: There isn't much Mabuza can do without Ramaphosa's say so

Stephen Grootes on the Political Desk with Bongani Bingwa says the Mining Charter is going to be shredded under Minister Gwede Mantashe.

President Ramaphosa announced his cabinet and has placed Gwede Mantashe as the Minister of Mineral Resources. Former minister Mosebenzi Zwane is implicated in the state capture report and the Estina dairy farm project. Zwane has been championing the Mining Charter despite objections.

That sound can you hear it? It's sort a ripping sound; that's the Mining Charter being trashed into Gwede Mantashe's shredder this morning.

Grootes says with David Mabuza as the vice president of the country, this becomes ammunition for the DA. He also says Mathews Phosa will have many things to say about Mabuza and his chequered history.

Mathews Phosa is going to be unstoppable today, he is going to have so much to say. There is going to be a lot to talk about, how is it that David Mabuza with so many claims around him is a heart beat away from the Presidency.
