EFF, DA and FF+ boycott Magashule's state of the province address

There has been increased opposition to African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general‚ Ace Magashule's hold over his position as Free State premier.

On Tuesday, the Democratic Alliance (DA) , Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and Freedom Front Plus in the Free State legislature, boycotted Magashule's state of the province address in Parys.

Last week the DA in the Free State filed an urgent application to get Provincial Legislature Speaker, Mamiki Qabathe to table a motion of no confidence against the premier, citing his alleged involvement in the controversial Vrede dairy project.

Karima Brown spoke to the DA and EFF leaders in the region on her show.

Since we got into the legislature in 2014, we have been fighting with him because we knew that he is not an honest leader. He is a rogue leader, that is why he is actually in the deep pockets of the Guptas.

It is a symbolic gesture but it is also a way that we can voice out our dissatisfaction with the fact that Ace Magashule is still premier after being elected secretary general.
