Property owners have until April 6 to lodge evaluation objections

Speaking to Bongani Bingwa, the Deputy Director of Evaluation at the City of Johannesburg, Piet Eloff, says property owners have until April 6 to lodge objections on their property evaluations.

This comes after outrage from property owners over evaluations that have sky rocketed with evaluations dating back to 2012.

Callers have highlighted that evaluations are not in line with the market and that the City's online system doesn't work. Eloff said the previous evaluation roll might have undervalued some properties.

There is a five year difference between the two evaluation dates.
