Walmart upping gun purchasing age to 21

EWN correspondent Brooks Spector says two major retailers in the US decided to increase the age limit for gun ownership purchases.

Spector says Walmart and Rick's guns, major US firearms retailers have decided to raise its age restriction to 21 for firearm and ammunition purchases. This comes after 17 high school pupils were shot and killed in Parklands, Florida.

The teenagers and parents made an extraordinary use of broadcast, print and social media to focus everybody's attention on this. The polls have changed dramatically, serious majority of people now support greater regulation of weapon sales, higher age limit and when can you purchase a firearm.

Spector says there are debates within congress around gun policy and meetings held with the president to share ideas.
