Shoprite Fresh Food general manager, Arno Abelyn says they have started to remove all the Enterprise and Rainbow Chicken products from their shelves.
This follows an announcement by Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi that the origin of listeriosis from the two company's production houses have been discovered.
Abelyn says they haven't received any communique from either Enterprise or Rainbow Chicken regarding this but merely started acting after the announcement by the Health Minister.
But what does Shoprite do with the products after removing them from the shelves?
We bag and tag the products, put it in an isolated area and get the supplier to come and pick it up.— Arno Abelyn, Shoprite Fresh Food general manager
Shoprite customers can return the products to the shop for a full refund, says Abelyn.
We ask all our customers to bring all the products back in the packaging and we will gladly replace it for them.— Arno Abelyn, Shoprite Fresh Food general manager
