U.S Secretary of State Rex Tillerson brings $533 million aid to Africa

EWN Africa correspondent Jean-Jacques Cornish, says U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has bought $533 million worth of aid with him to Africa. However, Congress is about to vote to cut this aid dramatically.

The trade is down with Africa because of economic turnaround... oil particularly. The US is providing or manufacturing through shale a lot of its own oil. So, figures are down and that is one of the difficult things he has to do. He has to offer aid where they can and trade where they can, in both cases he is on a losing streak.
