[WATCH]Bongani Bingwa says alleged abuse by policeman at AB Xuma school is rape

In light of the news that the forensic investigator at the AB Xuma school has been accused of sexually violating the children he was supposed to interview before going to court, Bongani Bingwa asks who will protect the children?

The grade three learners are part of 80 pupils from the school whose parents laid a charge of sexual assault against a scholar patrolman at the school. The police officer met with the children on the 12th of March to interview them before the court appearance but allegedly molested them.

Who will guard the guardians? Who watches the watchmen? To whom shall we turn when those who are sworn to protect us turn against us? Imagine being a child who has been molested and has to live with the secret. You feel dirty, used and guilty. Was it your fault? What if no one believes you? It was so humiliating!

And then the unthinkable happens. Alone with the policeman investigating the case, he undresses you, he touches you in a bad way, puts fingers in places you were told no one must see and the he tells you not to tell anyone. It's your little secret.
