March is also known as Consumer Awareness Month and during this time, focus is placed on the financial wellbeing of some buying rights each person is entitled to.
In the interest of combating the dreaded D-word, spokesperson and debt expert at DebtSafe Matthys Potgieter chats to #WeekendBreakfast host Africa Melane about the importance of consumer rights, and addresses some questions surrounding debt.
Potgieter says that if you are over the age of 18 and have a good credit score, then you could ask for credit.

According to the National Credit Act, a credit agreement should be received in a simple and fair language says Potgieter. He adds that this means that the contract should be received in a language that the consumer really understands.
