Born and raised in Cape Town, the blonde-haired firecracker is a dynamic MC who’s changing the face of the female rap game.
With her own inimitable style, this 20-something dynamo is taking no prisoners when it comes to what she wants and the message she wants to deliver - and that message is all about staying true to yourself.
Monroe credits her brother with her introduction to the music scene.

Monroe - born Megan Steenkamp - burst on to the music scene with her hit track High Fashion, and since then has gone on to even bigger success with her album, Malatjie.
She's also worked with some of the leading producers in the industry, including Sketchy Bongo and Ameen Harron.
Monroe says a follow-up album is in the works.
