South Africans face stricter conditions applying for Schengen visa

Immigration lawyer Gary Eisenberg says South Africans travelling to certain countries now face stricter laws when applying for a Schengen Visa.

Eisenberg spoke to the Kieno Kammies show after a number of listeners called in saying they've needed to provide additional verification when applying for the visa.

Eisenberg says BLS International Services Ltd, a new visa facilitation company, has since taken over from VFS Visa & Permit Facilitation Centre.

BLS has its own proprietary standards of how visa applications ought to be prepared and accepted and that might be a contributing factor.
