Take a sho't left with Azania Mosaka and South African Tourism

Azania takes an adventure filled Sho't left to the Eastern Cape

South Africa is filled with a variety of majestic sights to see and beautiful hidden gems to explore and this past weekend was exactly that when Azania and our Sho't left winner Prenisha, along with her family, took an adventure jam packed trip to the Eastern Cape.

The trip kicked off with an amazing stay at the Boardwalk Hotel where were were given a lovely welcome and an incredible Swedish massage at the Camelot Spa to get ready and rejuvenated for all the fun and activity that was about to unfold in the friendly city.

Then it was time to get straight into the action - where we got to immerse ourselves in the history and the culture of this incredible part of the country through art - by taking a tour of Route 67 - a collection of 67 art pieces celebrating the years Nelson Mandela devoted to public life. Prenisha, our lucky listener who brought her 11 year old daughter, husband and father-in law along on the trip particularly enjoyed this part of our adventure and it was the beginning.

Our friendly hosts picked the perfect lunch spot - Remo's Italian which serves some mouth-watering pastas and pizzas. Right next to this Italian gem you'll find RHBC breweries where we enjoyed the Friday sunset tasting their original craft beers where Aza even got behind the bar to serve some locals!

Day two was made up of ticking off bucket list things one adventure at a time! The thrilling activities kicked off at Tsitsikamma tree tops canopy tour which takes place in the magnificent Tsitsikamma indigenous rainforest. Ziplining through this forest and looking down and the scenery and wildlife made for spectacular viewing!

We then headed to Storms River Mouth to experience to take a walk on their incredible suspension bridges which Azania absolutely loved!

Coming back to do a full day. What a sense of joy to be here because it's always been on my bucket list

As the sun set in the majestic Eastern Cape it was time for Aza to experience the one thing this entire getaway was building up towards. To face her fear and take on the world's highest bungee bridge in the world - Bloukrans! And what an epic experience it was!
