VIDEO: EFF's Floyd Shivambu caught assaulting journo

EFF Deputy President Floyd Shivambu was caught on camera assaulting a journalist outside Parliament on Tuesday.

The journalist in question says Shivambu used force and grabbed his throat for refusing to delete a picture taken of him.

Adrian de Kock, a multimedia journalist at Netwerk24, says he plans on pressing charges against the EFF member.

Shivambu has come out to apologise for his actions in a statement, taking full responsibility for the altercation.

When I went to Floyd Shivambu for comment, he immediately said that I should delete the picture off my camera.

He grabbed my camera and tried to delete the picture himself.. he was trying to break my stuff.

I got pushed and shoved and eventually Floyd Shivambu grabbed me by the throat.
