Top cop seeks to curb complaints against Major General Peter Jacobs

EWN reporter, Barry Bateman said Major General Peter Jacobs is tipped to be the new national head of the divisional commissioner of crime intelligence.

Western Cape crime intelligence head Mzwandile Tiyo said he was on Monday summoned to the Western Cape provincial commissioners office where he was told to withdraw the internal complaint he had laid against Jacobs.

Tiyo is asking several questions concerning this particular matter. He's asking for clarity from the National Commissioner. He said he was convinced that he should withdraw the case and enter a reconciliation process.

National Police Commissioner Khehla Sitole and Police Minister Bheki Cele are scheduled to announce several key appointments at a briefing in Pretoria this afternoon.
