Struggle stalwart Sophie de Bruyn says she exchanged notes and shared recollections of her struggle days with Winnie Madikizela- Mandela during a hospital visit in January.
Madikizela-Mandela died at the age of 81 on Easter Monday at the Millpark Hospital after a long illness.
De Bruyn says Madikizela-Mandela did not behave like a sick person and was overjoyed to see her.

She says South African youth must emulate her footsteps and what she stood for.
