Momberg appears in court with cornrows, appeal hearing postponed
According to EWN reporter Mia Lindeque, former real estate agent Vicki Momberg's appeal hearing was postponed to next week.
She says after an hour of waiting in court, Momberg's lawyers asked for the matter to be postponed.
Momberg was sentenced to two years in prison on four counts of crimen injuria last week.
We will all be back in court next when they formally lodge that application to appeal...Mia Lindeque, EWN reporter
The State also put it on record through their lawyer that they will now make the transcripts of Momberg's call to the police available so that they can start preparing for the appeal application.Mia Lindeque, EWN reporter
Lindeque says she spoke to Momberg's lawyer Kingdom Onah who said that they believe they will be no more postponements and that they will be prepared for the appeal hearing on 11 April.
Momberg made her appearance with a different hairstyle, says Lindeque.
She wasn't paying that much attention to the media. She had a different hairstyle, she had cornrows, she was wearing black tights and a white T-shirt - she looked different. But there was no expression that could show us there was something different about her apart form the new look.Mia Lindeque, EWN reporter
