Emotional, jubilant crowd remember Mam'Winnie at Orlando Stadium
EWN reporter Masego Rahlaga says the memorial of anti-apartheid struggle icon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela started on time with Communication Minister Nomvula Mokonyane as the master of ceremony.
Thousands of mourners including many government officials gathered at Orlando Stadium in Soweto to remember Madikizela-Mandela.
Rahlaga says people started arriving from 5:30 am from different parts of the country to come and honour the mother of the nation as she is popularly known.
A member of the ANC Women's League explained how things would happen back in the apartheid days and what they would be doing with Mam'Winnie, carrying their small children and protesting at the same time.Masego Rahlaga, EWN reporter

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren paying tribute to Mama Winnie saw the crowd reacting with great emotion.
