Investigative journalist Jacques Pauw says President Cyril Ramaphosa must urgently act against State Security Agency (SSA) boss Arthur Fraser.
The Inspector General of Intelligence Setlhomamaru Dintwe has accused Fraser of interfering with investigations at the intelligence service.
Dintwe approached the High Court to interdict Fraser from interfering in his duties.
It's alleged that Fraser has threatened Dintwe and tried to block an investigation into allegations against the spy boss.
Puaw explains that Dintwe has authority and oversight powers over the SSA and Fraser.
It appears Fraser refused to cooperate with Dintwe and revoked his security clearance in what Pauw describes as an unheard of move.
