Two escaped prisoners killed in KZN

KwaZulu Natal Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo has confirmed that two fugitives from the Johannesburg prison known as 'Sun City' have been shot dead.

Speaking to Ray White on The Midday Report, Mhlongo says the Hawks organised crime unit received information and followed up where a shootout took place.

We can confirm that the two prisoners who escaped at the Johannesburg prison on Monday were fatally wounded on Tuesday night when engaged in a shootout with the Hawks unit and the K9 unit.
