DJ Zinhle: 'This is the time for women to do AMAZING things for themselves!'

She's the South African celebrity who seems to do it all and have it all.

DJ Zinhle is a working mom, a businesswoman, role mode and style icon - and in addition to that she’s one of the country’s most exciting and in demand DJs.

She recently spoke to Sara-Jayne King to share just how she manages to juggle motherhood, music, and being a successful businesswoman.

In order for me to find my spot I had to study the industry through and through...so I knew exactly where to plug in my talents.

She says she took inspiration from the strong, savvy, female entertainers who came before her.

If you look at the era of your Basetsana's, your Connie Ferguson's, you soon realise that the ladies who are still relevant now are the ladies who diversified their portfolios. They went into business.

During the interview, Zinhle made it clear that her mom duties never stop, often stopping to chat to her daughter Kairo.

She also says now is the time for women to claim their space in a male dominated world.

This is the time for black women to be doing amazing things for themselves, especially internally, y'know, taking care of themselves.
