Political Desk: An EFF and ANC coalition? 'This was Mama Winnie's last wish'
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have denied reports they're in exploratory talks with the African National Congress (ANC) about a possible co-operation arrangement.
It's after Sunday Times reported that the two parties had begun informal discussions at the funeral of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
Associate Editor at Tiso Black Star Ranjeni Munusamy spoke to Bongani Bingwa and said it was no surprise that the EFF denied talks had taken place.
It is well known that this was Mama Winnie's last wish and that she had expressed it to both the ANC and EFF leaders, that she wanted some form of co-operation, whether it's in a form of Julius Malema leading a come back to the ANC or co-operation in the national interest.Ranjeni Munusamy, Associate Editor at Tiso Black Star
Munusamy added that one could see a very deliberate effort by President Cyril Ramaphosa to reach out to the EFF leader Julius Malema during Saturday's funeral for Mam'Winnie.
