Bontle also gave an account of the relationship between Mantsoe and her sister, how it initially looked like any other normal relationship but later heard of how her sister was treated with so much disregard.

She says Karabo was warned multiple time by her and their mother that this man will kill you. Why don't you leave him?— Kgomotso Modise, EWN reporter
Modise says Mantsoe's family sat emotionless in court while Bontle was describing an account of how they had searched for her sister and had even asked Sandile if he had killed her.
She said later the police told them that Sandile confessed to have sacrificed Karabo for a business deal he was involved in.
