EFF: Juju 'is brave and not scared' by plots to kill him

The EFF has confirmed that there is an alleged plot to kill its leader and Commander-in-Chief, Julius Malema.

According to the party's National Spokesperson Tebogo Mokwele, this matter has been under investigation since 2016 and suspicions were only confirmed last week.

She says they have discovered a link between North-West province and the Western Cape with regards to their plot to assassinate Malema.

We realised that the is a linkage between North-West and Western Cape, whereby they are plotting to assassinate the president on issues he raised on behalf of the organisation on expropriation of land without compensation and other related political matters.

Mokwele says the party has its own intelligence structure.

It constantly investigates what is going on around them and what the enemy is planning.

Through our intelligence, we have discovered that the matter is now starting to escalate more than we thought and we think this matter as a very serious thing.

He is very brave and not scared but for the sake of his safety as the leader of this organisation and ultimately as the president of the country, we had to make sure that we secure him.
