The EFF has confirmed that there is an alleged plot to kill its leader and Commander-in-Chief, Julius Malema.
According to the party's National Spokesperson Tebogo Mokwele, this matter has been under investigation since 2016 and suspicions were only confirmed last week.
She says they have discovered a link between North-West province and the Western Cape with regards to their plot to assassinate Malema.
We realised that the is a linkage between North-West and Western Cape, whereby they are plotting to assassinate the president on issues he raised on behalf of the organisation on expropriation of land without compensation and other related political matters.— Tebogo Mokwele, EFF national spokesperson
Mokwele says the party has its own intelligence structure.

According to Mokwele, Malema will not be pulling back on his public appearances, he will be where he needs to be to address the public, she says.
