'The biggest misconception of wine is that it is elitist'

The biggest misconception about wine is that it is elitist. This is according to founder of Eighteen 13 Cezanne Kouta.

Kouta sat down with Azania Mosaka to to give a brief history on South Africa's wine industry,

He also shares some of the joys of wine tasting.

It's amazing what wine can do. It brings people together. We will be in the store and it will be people from all these diverse backgrounds, different economical situations and over a glass of wine we can get to know each other.

Wine is all about exploration cause there so much good wine in South Africa and most of us drink the same thing, I will never get that.

The biggest misconception of wine is that it is elitist, People are very intimated by it.

The people that know wine, understand South Africa is producing some of the best wines in the world and internationally we are recognised but we still bracket ourselves at that price point of cheap. We now have a problem of producers wanting to increase price and they should.
